What if I lose 3 of the 5 cards?+
You can still recover with the remaining 2 cards. If you lose 4 cards, you cannot recover — plan for this by spreading cards across geographically separated locations (home safe, bank safety-deposit box, trusted family member, lawyer's office).
Is Cypherock better than Ledger for Canadians with large positions?+
For positions over $50k CAD, yes — the 2-of-5 Shamir split eliminates the single-point-of-failure risk that kills most seed-phrase-based hardware wallets. For smaller positions the added complexity may not justify the extra $50 CAD over a Ledger Nano X.
